New Mums and Dads (Or just new to the area)
As parent's ourselves, we understand what a daunting prospect becoming a Mum or Dad is!
No amount of planning can fully prepare a parent for when the big day eventually comes, however, we can do our best to help...
Join our excellent baby classes and groups, try out our baby equipment before you make purchases for your home. The play centre runs a regular 'baby weigh' session in its dedicated baby and toddler area, hosted by a qualified health care visitor. We also have a baby signing class, messy play sessions and sensory mornings.
Parents-to-be are more than welcome to visit us before baby arrives too! We have a good selection of baby books and magazines to read over coffee and cake. Most of our staff have been in your position and are more than happy to share their knowledge (and mistakes!). Monday's are our dedicated day for new, single or new to the area parents. You'll be able to pop down and have a chat with our member of staff, over practically any number of topics ( some of them even helpful!)
Let's not forget our following of brilliant and helpful customers. It's always nice to see like-minded people getting together, whether at one of our baby groups, or informally over coffee, to share their experiences. We are both proud and lucky enough to have an abundance of these people joining us at our soft play centre, everyday!

NCT Lincoln Branch
The Lincoln NCT branch offers a wide range of courses, groups and meet ups. It is a great way for prospective and new parents to gain skills and knowledge, make friends, find support and widen your social circle.
The NCT offer Antenatal Courses which last 14.5 hours (concessions are available for those with no/low income). During such courses prospective parents learn all about their pregnancy and birth choices, labour, looking after a new born, parenting issues and much more.
They also offer Early Days Postnatal Courses which are invaluable for making friends with other Mum’s. They provide much needed support in an open and friendly atmosphere where Mum’s can talk about the challenges that come with having a new born and access further support if required.

Health Visitors are trained Nurses that have additional specialist qualifications in working with children and families to asses health needs. Those needs can be physical, emotional and social and by early identification health visitors can signpost children and their family to the right services to get treatment, help and support so that the child is able to reach its potential.
Health Visitors provide universal care to children and their family from the antenatal period until the child reaches the end of reception class (0-6years), via home and clinic visits.
Health Visitors can also offer help with a child’s development, common childhood illnesses, adjusting to parenthood, infant feeding, starting solids, sleep behaviour, keeping your chid safe, getting ready for School, positive parenting and maternal mental health. Sometimes clinics are held in Children’s Centres across Lincoln, don't forget, there is also a monthly Health Visitor Clinic at Holly Tree Soft Play, which is a great opportunity to get baby weighed, checked over and discuss any concerns whilst socialising with other new Mum’s. Call 01522 790275 to book in with the Health Visitor.
