We are pleased to announce the opening of our brand new outdoor children's play area! The area comes complete with a sandpit and toys, a mud kitchen, a water play bench and a sensory wall for babies and toddlers. Our special relationship with Hatchlings of Lincoln means that our equipment is bespoke, safe, made to last and because he's a star, very honest and reasonably priced! This has meant in turn that not only are we the only children's soft play area in Lincoln with an outdoor and sensory garden, but we have been able to remain the cheapest soft play centre in the Lincoln area too!
There are now 3 areas at Holly Tree Soft Play, 2 indoor and 1 outdoor, as well our our café and restaurant.  We are constantly aspiring to improve and bring new ideas to our world of children's activities. Our aim is to provide the widest range of things to do for children and babies, whilst maintaining an adult friendly environment too. We hope that you and your children find our outdoor area as engaging as we do, and we look forward to sharing our next little project with you soon!

Outdoor sandpit and toys for babies and toddlers

Toddlers love spending time digging in the sandpit. We know this because of the amount of sand we put back in the sandpit on a daily basis! Still, the time they spend playing and exploring the various shapes and toys hidden beneath the sand is fun, educational and it frees up mum's hands for cake.

Our water play is especially fun on a hot summer's day, (but we provide waterproof aprons when its not so hot). It's really good for hand-eye coordination, muscle building, maths concepts, and, being multisensory it is great for children with hearing or sight impairments. Of course, none of the children realise any of this, because it's just loads and loads of fun!
Check out this little guy! Whilst we don't recommend sitting in the bowl of water, we have to admit, it does look pretty cool! Click on the picture for more photos.

As parent's ourselves, we understand what a daunting prospect becoming a Mum or Dad is!

No amount of planning can fully prepare a parent for when the big day eventually comes, however, we can do our best to help...

Join our excellent baby classes and groups, try out our baby equipment before you make purchases for your home. The play centre runs a regular 'baby weigh' session in its dedicated baby and toddler area, hosted by a qualified health care visitor. We also have a baby signing class, messy play sessions and sensory mornings.

Parents-to-be are more than welcome to visit us before baby arrives too! We have a good selection of baby books and magazines to read over coffee and cake. Most of our staff have been in your position and are more than happy to share their knowledge (and mistakes!). Monday's are our dedicated day for new, single or new to the area parents. You'll be able to pop down and have a chat with our member of staff, over practically any number of topics ( some of them even helpful!)

Let's not forget our following of brilliant and helpful customers. It's always nice to see like-minded people getting together, whether at one of our baby groups, or informally over coffee, to share their experiences. We are both proud and lucky enough to have an abundance of these people joining us at our soft play centre, everyday!

The Lincoln NCT branch offers a wide range of courses, groups and meet ups. It is a great way for prospective and new parents to gain skills and knowledge, make friends, find support and widen your social circle.

The NCT offer Antenatal Courses which last 14.5 hours (concessions are available for those with no/low income). During such courses prospective parents learn all about their pregnancy and birth choices, labour, looking after a new born, parenting issues and much more.

They also offer Early Days Postnatal Courses which are invaluable for making friends with other Mum’s. They provide much needed support in an open and friendly atmosphere where Mum’s can talk about the challenges that come with having a new born and access further support if required.

Health Visitors are trained Nurses that have additional specialist qualifications in working with children and families to asses health needs. Those needs can be physical, emotional and social and by early identification health visitors can signpost children and their family to the right services to get treatment, help and support so that the child is able to reach its potential.
Health Visitors provide universal care to children and their family from the antenatal period until the child reaches the end of reception class (0-6years), via home and clinic visits.
Health Visitors can also offer help with a child’s development, common childhood illnesses, adjusting to parenthood, infant feeding, starting solids, sleep behaviour, keeping your chid safe, getting ready for School, positive parenting and maternal mental health. Sometimes clinics are held in Children’s Centres across Lincoln, don't forget, there is also a monthly Health Visitor Clinic at Holly Tree Soft Play, which is a great opportunity to get baby weighed, checked over and discuss any concerns whilst socialising with other new Mum’s. Call 01522 790275 to book in with the Health Visitor.

With Christmas behind us and the warmer weather fast approaching, we felt it time to introduce some new dishes to our range. We've developed two new Under 500 Calorie dishes, for those of us on post-winter diets. These dishes have all the flavour you expect of our home cooked meals, they just have the calories stripped right back. We use rapeseed oil instead of butter. We use the leanest cuts of meat and concentrate on long, slow cooked processes to bring out the best flavours the dish has to offer.  Also new this year is our own herb garden, allowing us to grow and use the freshest herbs in our dishes.
In addition to our under 500 calorie dishes, we have two brand new salad options, again using where possible, our own organically grown produce. All of our usual fayre is still available including our baguettes, paninis, baked potatoes, homemade pies and burgers. If you're feeling like indulging the inner child, we also make larger versions of our children's menu; sometimes you just can't resist a good chicken nugget!
If you have any feedback or suggestions for our menu, or if you have an interesting dish you'd simply like to share with us, This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

Zara - Ruskington

I always find it really difficult to find somewhere to entertain a preschooler and a baby but at Holly Tree there is something for both of them. My baby has plenty to do and loves the Jumperoo whilst my eldest spends most of her time on the "amazing bumpy slide" (Myia, Age 3). There's also a lovely selection of cakes and coffee for mums!
